Must covert chances though.
Two goals, one in each half, from Zac Attwood earned the Crows the three points against Tunbridge Wells at the Culverden Stadium on Saturday with the Wells' goal being scored by Johnson.
The Crows were the dominant force in the first half and went 1-0 up after 8 minutes, Attwood finishing well from a narrow angle after being set free by a great ball from Slocombe. Chances for Attwood twice, Turner and Muggeridge were missed and it remained 1-0 at the break.
The second half was a more even affair but it still looked more than likely the Crows would score the next goal though. Wells resorted to getting the ball as forward as quick as they could to their front players and in the end this tactic paid off, Muggeridge deflecting a cross for a corner and from the resulting melee in the area, Johnson poked the ball home in the 83rd minute for 1-1.
Whilst it looked like the Crows had thrown two points away to their fans, the players had other ideas and found their tempo again as they created three chances in quick succession and whilst the first two were blocked Attwood tucked the third away with aplomb from close range in the 87th minute to make it 2-1.
Considering the heat it wasn't a bad game for a local derby in front of 297 fans however, for the second season running it's the Crows who fly back to their nest with all three points, which sees them in fourth place in the table as they head for their home fixture against sixth placed Cray Valley PM.
