Barton and Death both lethal from 12 yards.
End to end play in the first half as the hosts and visitors served up an exciting encounter at the Oakley road ground.
The Dalers started strongly and had a couple of half chances as Crows struggled to get organised, Nick Collick was off his line quickly to smother the ball at a forwards feet and Will Jagger had to be alert as a series of high balls were launched down the slope which proved difficult to pick up in the floodlights ..
Ryan Hinkson with a good interception and run plays in Treleaven and his near post shot hits the outside of the post with Crows appealing for a corner .
Scott Treleaven is posing all sorts of problems for the home defence with his strength and hold up play , something that has been missing during his enforced absence due to injury .
The latter gets in another shot after a typical strong run but the sting is taken out of the shot by a defenders block .
Micheal Death fires in a dipping shot from distance that clears the bar as Crows look up for the challenge .
Jack Funnell on the left causes all sorts of confusion and the ball breaks to Treleaven whose effort goes wide of goal.
Hinkson gets in a great recovery tackle as the number seven Cable almost gets away on the right .
Funnell into Treleaven and his first time shot brings off a great one handed save by the home keeper .
The Dalers still look like they can hurt Crows going forward but after a Clarke drive is spilled by the keeper and again Treleaven is blocked by a great saving tackle by Coleman , Crows are awarded a penalty , as Death plays in Ridley with a cute pass and the midfielder is unceremoniously upended by Coleman’s lunge giving the referee no option .
The ever reliable Jason Barton steps up and finishes with panache low to the keepers right just inside the post.
Crows tails are up and the energetic Funnel again finds Treleaven who fires in powerfully but his effort bends wide .
Then a moment of controversy, Callum Ridley is on the receiving end of a late challenge by Cable on the half way line after he released the ball but the referee plays a superb advantage as Treleaven goes into the area and is brought down by the keeper and not only does the official award a second penalty but returns to give Cable a yellow card for the poor challenge and a second soon after for dissent , so the hosts were down to ten men on the stroke of half time .
Michael Death duly dispatched the spot kick to put Crows two- nil up.
H/T Dalers 0 v Crows 2 .
Substitution at half time : Ryan Waterman for Callum Ridley who had suffered a dead leg.
The ten men of Holmsdale certainly took the game to the Crows and started the brighter and it was hard to detect they had only ten men a couple of substitutions had added to their attacking intent and Nick Collick was tested on a number of occasions.
Just past the hour mark after threatening Crows goal the hosts pulled a goal back as Kritian Campbell rounds Collick and although Jagger gets back to hook the ball out of the goal the ball was adjudged to have crossed the line by the assistant , confirmed as a correct decision by our Chairman !
Now we have a game on the Dalers buoyed by the score pour forward and a header comes back off Collicks post , Muggeridge introduces Alex Rich in place of Michael Death to stem the tide and the change seems to help as Crows fashion a number of chances , a third goal would surely put the match to bed .
With Holmsdale pushing forward for the equaliser gaps are appearing at the back Alex Rich tests the keeper who spills the ball but recovers well .
Waterman goes down under pressure but the official is not convinced and waves play on .
Treleaven and Clarke also fire wide and only a terrific tackle by Hinkson prevents the winger getting into a dangerous position .
Collick saves well low down at his left hand post as the hosts threaten again , Holmsdale are throwing everything at Crows and only a superb deflection by skipper Barton prevents a certain goal , the resultant corner is brilliantly pushed out by Collick .
With time running out Tom Cameron comes on for Jack Funnell who had played his part in a display full of energy and endeavour.
With time fast running out its Tom Cameron who breaks forward and he unselfishly plays the ball to Clark who arrows in a cross low into the area , it looked like a formality for Treleaven but somehow a combination of keeper and defender sliding in get the ball out of the danger area .
After six minutes of added time the whistle goes for a hard fought well earned three points , Holmsdale certainly had the best of the second half and may feel hard done by , but Crows will celebrate their third “ Double “ of this season .
