ANY LINGERING DOUBTS ARE ENDED.

The Crows completed another league double in this game over our former colleagues in the SCFL. Match report by Keith Harmer.

Treleaven and Trotter seal win.
Only one change in Crows line up from Saturday's creditable draw with Greenwich Borough , the unwell Callum Ridley being unavailable so Captain Jason Barton slotted into midfield with a welcome return for Jon Trotter in the back four .
The first half was played at a frantic pace Crows no doubt determined to keep the good run going and the Lingers anxious to avenge the 7-2 score line earlier in the season .
Crows with the wind at their backs looked to have settled well early on and the front three of Carrington , Ross and Scott Treleaven were combining well with Barton and Clarke in particular prompting from midfield .
The first shot of merit came from Sam Carrington who tested ex Crow Callum Hampson from distance with a rasping drive that the keeper did well to keep out and smother before any body could latch onto.
Lingers Simon Wallace had a speculative drive which Collick watched clear the bar and on the left Lingers Harry Sintim was looking particularly dangerous when running at the Crows defence , a combination of Tom Cameron and Wayne Clarke tracking back was the visitors response .
After some good interplay between the Treleaven brothers and Carrington , the latter was away but Hampson spreads himself bravely at the strikers feet to recover the ball.
Another shot on target for Lingers as the hosts break with pace but Collick is in the right place and saves with ease.
Sam Carrington is brought down and Ross Treleaven takes the kick but although he gets his shot up and over the wall , the ball clears Hampsons crossbar .
A period of domination follows for Crows and a Carrington header is fielded by Hampson as the wind takes a part in proceedings .
Wayne Clarke gets away on the right after some smart work by Cameron and almost finds the top corner with an angled drive .
Crows are certainly knocking on the door but full credit to Lingers defence and keeper Hampson for making life difficult. Scott Treleaven on the left after some great control , cuts in for a one on one with Hampson but the keeper is quickly out to block the strikers shot.
Just before half time Lingers have their best spell and Collick has to be alert with a timely interception , and Tom Boddy and Jon Trotter both get in important blocks as the hosts put Crows under pressure .
Half time arrives and Crows will feel they have had the better of the match so far without taking the lead .
H/T LINGERS 0 v CROWS 0 .

Now facing the wind in the second half which seemed to have increased somewhat Crows had to be vigilant, one dicey moment as Jon Trotters attempted header deflects back towards Collick's goal but the young keeper not only dives to collect but more importantly holds the ball in the difficult conditions. Another high ball forward is met by a terrific headed clearance by Trotter who gets well above his opponent.
Scott Treleaven combines with Clarke on the right and the striker fires over .
Lingers respond and with men forward Collick has to be at his best with a great take under pressure on the penalty spot.
Clarke with a great run and control seems to have the beating of the defenders but is adjudged to have used his hand as the ball comes off a defender.
A terrific cross from the left is then missed by all and goes to safety for a throw, Michael Death comes on for Sam Carrington who continues to impress on his return after injury .
Straight away Crows make the breakthrough , Ross Treleaven spins and shoots and Hampson pushes the ball out for a corner , the resultant kick is not cleared and after a couple of blocks by Lingers Its top scorer Scott Treleaven who sweeps in to the net for the opener on sixty five minutes .
Lingers respond and Barton gets in a crunching tackle on Sintim as he threatens on the right with a mazy run , Chan Quan given to much space tries a speculative shot but it does not trouble the Crows keeper
Crows break and a good interchange between several players sees Treleaven with a great shot on target , but Hampson matches the effort with a good one handed save to put the ball over the bar for a corner.
As the ball comes in its Jon Trotter who steals in and his downward header goes in low by the post to double the advantage for the delighted Crows .
Clarke then gets a yellow card for not releasing the ball after a free kick , he is then replaced by Ryan Hinkson on seventy nine minutes .
Hinkson has a half chance on the right but his stabbed shot goes through to Hampson .
A moment of alarm for Crows as the ball is crossed into the box with Lingers pressing for something from the game , but Trotter with a timely intervention gets the ball out for a corner .
A moment to remember then follows , Jake Hampson brother of the Lingers keeper Callum comes on for Ross Treleaven who had been brilliant all night .
Scott Treleaven looks to have got in again but is held up by a couple of defenders , the ball is picked up by Jake Hampson who hits a powerful drive from distance which beats his brother but hits the bar and comes out .
Crows come out 2-0 winners to extend their good run , credit to Lingfield who man a good game of it with Callum Hampson their star performer.
For Crows good all round performance from back to front.
