The Crows headed to the south coast on Wednesday evening for a mid table clash against 8th placed Bexhill. A couple of changes to the lineup saw Puffette come into the side, with Player of the Month Leo Vowles moving to right back, with Killick taking the right midfield spot. Charlie Watkins started in defensive midfield and Dom Welsh came in to the number 8 role.

The Crows started brightly, 2 minutes in and it was Harry Forster, a threat all game, that came in off the left, hitting a spectacular effort from 20 yards that smashed the crossbar. Minutes later, The Crows again looked dangerous from the left, this time Forster playing a speculative ball forward to Harry London, catching the defence and goalkeeper cold, but his effort could only find the side netting.

The game then evened up somewhat, with both sides having chances that came to nothing. A moment of magic from Lucas Murrain, running half the pitch down the left before skilfully destroying the Bexhill defence with some lovely footwork, junking back onto his right foot before shooting, but the keeper saved.

It was 0-0 at half time, and the second half started favourably for our hosts initially, but Muggsys men sprung into life after some superb defending from Vowles, Puffette, Boddy and Salter, holding firm with Watkins shielding them expertly.

And then we were in the ascendancy, sparked by some intricate play, Welsh and Killick linked up on the right, flashing a a decent cross in for Murrain who headed inches wide. And the pressure on our hosts ramped up from there.

73 minutes were on the clock when Killick got his deserved moment, a deep free kick was whipped in, Murrain knocked it down and Killick flew in to hammer it home from close range.

In the closing stages we had a few chances with Lucas Murrain 1 on 1 with the keeper but unable to beat him, and Harry Brown breaking free with the keeper out of goal, but the Bexhill defender managed to close him down.
