From two nil down inside ten minutes against a strong Sidley side it was always going to be a difficult task but some strange refereeing decissions didn't help especially when he failed to send off the Sidley skipper when he bought down Scott Treleavan when clear through on goal.
Crowborough did hit the bar twice and also managed to miss a couple of gilt edge chances, one when Tom Saunders managed to blast the ball over the bar from six yards with an empty goal in front of him. they also had a goal disallowed with five minutes to go as the referee adjudged that Dave Adams kicked the ball out of the keeper's hands after he had spilled a shot. Only the referee seemed to think it was a foul and the Sidley keeper didn't think he had both hands on the ball.
Defensively, Crowborough improved as the game went on with Ben Head not having to make any saves but they need cut out the lapses in concentration if they are to register their first win. They also need to find that cutting adge up front and would benefit from manager Dave Adams starting the game rather than bringing himself on for the last 15 minutes when we are chasing the game.
The FA Cup dream starts on Saturday away against what look's like a strong physical Erith Town from the Kent League so the Crow's defence will need to be switched on for whole ninety minutes.
