A tough 3x30 minute match for everyone.
The Crows took an early lead after 5 minutes when Biddlecombe was rather unceremoniously brought down on the edge of the Redhill FC penalty area on the Crows right hand side.
He duly took revenge on the defender though when he slotted home Mici's low drive from the resulting free kick from some 12 yards out.
Redhill grabbed an equaliser soon after the first 30 minute period break when a defensive error led to them being gifted an equaliser.
The second 30 minute period was a rather scrappy and physical affair with any good football in short supply, therefore, it remained 1-1 after 60 minutes. As with all pre-season friendlies the plethora of substitutions did little to help the flow of continuity of play and it made for a poor spectacle at times.
However, the third and final 30 minute period was slightly better with the Crows largely on top and dominating possession in the key areas of the pitch.
The physical approach of the visitors was their undoing in the 70th minute when Biddlecombe was once again upended but this time it was inside the Redhill FC area and therefore, a penalty was awarded.
Up stepped last season's top goal scorer Biddlecombe and he proved up to the task by coolly slipping the ball home for 2-1 to the Crows.
All in all it was perhaps what our players needed as nothing will be given to us once the season commences.
