Despite being under pressure for majority of the 90 minutes, Crowborough Athletic somehow came away from Kiln Brow with all 3 points after changing tactics at a significant time led to a stoppage time winner from player/manager Dave Adams extending his unbeaten reign to 5 wins out of 6.

Redhill penned Crowborough inside their own half in the first half, and came close within the 15 minute mark. Charles Ofusuhene found the run of Josh Bonnet, whose drive was excellently pushed wide by the diving Rob Gordon.
However, some good defending from the visiting Crows restricted the hosts to long range efforts.
The Lobsters came within a whisker of giving Redhill the lead just before half-time, when Daniel Morris’ strike from outside the area beat the diving Gordon, but only to deflect off the post and into the path of Chris Hubbard, but he could only fire wide of the near post.
In stoppage time, Marcus Elliot took the ball forward, but only to strike the ball straight at the standing Gordon.

Calvin Headley played the ball to Elliot, whose strike was saved by the diving Gordon early in the second period.
Crowborough Athletic then began to show signs of troubling their opponents, and came very close to taking the lead when Scott Treleaven found Adams, whose shot arrowing towards the top corner was brilliant turned behind by the outstretched Chris May.
On 82, substitute Chris Ransome cut inside from the right wing, but only to bend the ball narrowly over the bar.
On 89, Redhill nearly took the lead when Tashan Nicholas’ ball across the area picked out Headley, whose left foot volley from the edge of the box was excellently pushed away by the diving Gordon.
Then Crowborough went in search of the winner, and came close moments later when substitute Charlie Ottway latched onto a ball through to go one on one with the keeper, but his drive across the advancing May was brilliantly saved by the diving Redhill keeper.
In the 94th minute, Scott Treleaven’s long throw into the area picked out Sam Reid, whose looping flick on eventually fell to Adams, who from 12 yards drilled the ball low and hard beyond the outstretched May and into the bottom near corner to send Crowborough 15th in Division One.

The Crows now travel to struggling Mile Oak Saturday, in a huge match for Dave Adams’ men.
