Due to injuries and suspensions the Crows fielded a much changed side with player manager Dave Adams slotting in at left back with Tom Boddy and Paul Butler in the centre and Chris Ransome on the right. It was a nightmare first half for the Crows letting in five goals without reply but in truth although Hassocks were the better team the scoreline was harsh; two of the goals were wicked deflections but Nathan Miles took his hatrick well and showed how important it is at this level to have a decisive striker.
Graeme Mintrim, the Crows Assistant Manager rousted the players up at half time and they came out for the second half looking a completely different outfit. The young Crows had Hassocks on the back foot for the whole of the second half and although the scoreline was bitterly disappointing there were plenty of positives to take out of the game.
The Crows did manage to get on the score sheet via Harry Thompson.
