IS IT A NEW NAME? IT IS A NEW GROUND FOR THEM THOUGH.

Mole Valley SCR FC will change their name for the 2015/16 season and will also play at a different ground.

Leg of Mutton changed for Gander Green Lane.
The club were formed in Carshalton 1978 as INRAD FC but have had various names since then, initially recognising the names of various sponsors, CENTRE21FC and SCR (Sutton Common Road FC) because they and the companies were based in Sutton and had SCR in their company names.
For season 2007/08 they adopted the name Sutton Common Rovers FC but had to leave the area and move to the Mole Valley area, thus becoming Mole Valley SCR FC.
They then had to move again, leaving the shared ground they initially went to and started sharing with Cobham FC at their Leg of Mutton Ground, where they've been ever since.
However, they're now moving back to the Sutton area and will revert to being called Sutton Common Rovers for the upcoming season as they are now going to share with Sutton United at their Gander Green Lane facility.
Any move back to the spiritual home always seems to go down with the fans so the name change and the new venue should go down well with the supporters as they look forward to another season in the Combined Counties League Premier Division.
Let's hope everything works out well for them in the future.
