GREENWICH BOROUGH (2013) FC EXPECT PROMOTION THIS TERM.

Chairman, Perry Skinner, informs manager, Ian Jenkins, winning the SCEFL title is a must this season as cup wins are just not good enough.

Manager has Ryman League budget at his disposal.
Chairman Perry Skinner has gone public and made it quite clear that nothing but winning the SCEFL will be good enough for the 2015/16 season.
He has commented that the amount of money he and his brother pump into the club gives them every right to say what the club's target should be and that it's fair, even before the season kicks off, to outline the situation to the manager.
They have retained the services of Gary Alexander, who scored 30 goals for them last season and have just signed Peter Sweeney from landlords, Dartford FC.
Another new signing is Michael Power, who scored 15 goals for VCD Athletic in the Ryman Premier League.
However, they have lost some influential players from last term, central defender, Joe Vines, has gone to Erith & Belvedere FC, as has Jamie Wood.
Lewis Wood has retired whilst 29-goal striker Paul Vines and midfielder player, Aaron Day have also departed to pastures new.
Most people were surprised that Greenwich Borough were not at the top of the league from the start but runs in the FA Cup and the FA Vase left them too many league games behind early on and they never really ever stood a chance in catching the leaders, Phoenix Sports FC.
Whether it's correct to put a manager under so much pressure, at least publically, before the season starts, is debatable but he who pays the piper, calls the tune and if you're given a Ryman League budget in the SCEFL, then perhaps having to accept that pressure is part and parcel of the job.
Let's see how they start the season off anyway.
