Back to SCEFL Premier Division action this Saturday.
After the FA Vase game against Eastbourne Town last week, it's back to league action for the Crows as they travel to Faversham, the temporary home of Canterbury City. The home side themselves were in FA Vase action when we were, although they went through to the next round as they came from 2-0 down away at Gay Dawn Farm to Corinthian, to eventually run out 4-2 victors after extra time as Canterbury City had made it 2-2 within the 90 minutes.
City even had a player sent off with a straight red within the first three minutes of the second half, Liam Quinn being the person to upset the match referee therefore, they scored all four goals whilst playing with ten players.
The final two goals for City were scored in quick succession very near the end of extra time, Rob Lawrence scoring both and he only came on in the 89th minute, so he definitely made an impact on the game so the Crows will have to keep a close eye on him during this game.
The Crows are currently in eighth place with 22 points from their 14 games, whilst the home side are in twelfth place with 19 points from their 11 games, but they always give the Crows a tough game so our team will need to play well to get something from the match.
The Crows also hope to have some of the players who were missing last week for various reasons back in the squad and ready for selection, so we should be more suited for this type of game too.
