Down memory lane for us tonight.
The Crows take a trip back in time tonight as they visit The Crouch, home of Seaford Town in the SCFA Parafix RUR Charity Cup, 2nd Round, a ground we used to visit occasionally until our move from the old Sussex County Football League to the Southern Counties East Football League for the start of the 2014/15 season.
Prior to our move I think it has been quite a few years since we played them in a competitive league fixture although I think there's been a few cup games, in August 2011/12 we lost 2-0 away to our hosts and in the same season we won 2-1 in another away game in another cup. We have since 2009/10 played them a few time in pre-season friendlies and usually came out on top, not that those results count for anything at all.
The Badgers currently occupy 13th spot in the SCFL, Division 1 with a total of 9 points from their 10 games. The league record is won 2, drawn 3, lost 5, goals for 11 and goals against 14, therefore, they have a -3 goal difference. It seems Michael Lloyd and Khalid Bilal are their main threat in the attacking third but the Crows will need to be at their best if they are to get through to the 3rd Round, as the winners of this match play Shoreham FC at home, on a date yet to be confirmed.
They play in an all red kit, let's hope it's not as lucky as our red away kit has been for us this season and there is no parking inside the ground at The Crouch so it's off-street parking only in what is very much a residential area.
