The season begins

A new season began in earnest for the youth teams at Crowborough this weekend. Most of the younger teams (the u6s to u11s) were back in training, and some of the older teams had fixtures.
We have the results for you, and a couple of match reports:

Crowborough and District Junior Football League
U13 Wolverines lost 5-2
U13 Wolves won 9-3
U14 Colts won 11-2

Sussex Sunday Youth League
U16 Colts lost 5-1

Kent Youth League
U16 Kent Youth League lost 5-2

MATCH REPORTS

CAFC u13 Wolves started the season with an impressive win away to Langton Green Athletic with goals from Sharp, Alexander, McAllister, Brockwell, Paine, Porter (2) and a stunning free kick from Leung that was still rising as it hit the back of the net, for a 9-3 victory.

CAFC u14 Colts: the team had a difficult time last season when they played in the Mid Sussex League, and had to pull out of competition early. The new look team has now joined the Crowborough and District Junior League (CDJFL) in which they last played three years ago.
Sunday, they played the newly formed Broad Oak.
The match started at a very good pace with the Crows creating all the real chances, although Broad Oak looked dangerous on the counter attack. The Crows finally took the lead on the 10 minute mark. On 14 minutes, Broad Oak made it 1-1.
The Crows attacked ferociously and by half time it was CAFC 6, Broad Oak 1.
In the first minutes of the second half, Crows made it 10-1, but on 57 minutes, Broad Oak got one back to make it 10-2.
In the dying moments of the game, the Crows made it 11-2, to give them a cracking start to the season.
Broad Oak were a spirited side and the score does not reflect how hard they tried, but once the Crows had the bit between their teeth, nothing was going to stop them.
